About Overflow

Jesus informed His disciples of such an amazing spiritual truth during His last hours before His crucifixion.  As recorded in John 15:5, Jesus gave His disciples this heavenly, fundamental maxim: "I am the vine, you are the branches.  He who abides in Me and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me, you can do nothing."

Imagine that!  Jesus Christ declared that being a Christian had nothing to do with work and production, and everything to do with abiding and bearing.  God didn't create us to be factories, manufacturing products for Him.  He has designed us in such a way that our effort should be exhausted in clinging to Christ, resulting in fruit; an abundance of fruit.

We believe that it is God's desire that we rise to the call to not settle for mediocrity in our relationship with Him, but that we overflow in our love for Him and each other.  We also believe that God is calling many in our generation to be those branches that bear much fruit; to be those vessels that are filled in such a way that we overflow.

THE VISION:

At this time people are truly hungering and thirsting for righteousness. Matthew 5:6 says, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled."  We pray that through this ministry the Lord will be filling people with righteousness. We also pray that they will experience Christ by His Spirit through this ministry. We pray this will be done through prayer, worship, the teaching of God's Word and also through the fellowship of believers. Everyone is welcome to come. It is open to the young and old, believers and unbelievers.  2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slacking concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long suffering towards us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."
